Bird on the Beach

Bird on the Beach

My love for the beach is obvious in most of my paintings. Especially this one. It is simple but so peaceful to look at. This painting was created from a photo that I took while visiting Shell Island in Florida. Beautiful and peaceful place. The original has been sold and is available as print only.

Lavender Winter

Personally I am not a fan of winter. I love the warm weather and relaxing beach water waves. One winter day I was inspired to paint a winter scene and because I love lavender I started of painting with that particular color palette . This was actually a perfect match for my bedroom at the time. It sparked a lot of interest as people looked at it. Original is not available anymore. Ask me about a print on canvas.

Bodensee, Germany

I was born in Germany and still have family there. This window view idea came from a beautiful photo that my brother took while on vacation in Germany. It is a view onto the popular lake there called Bodensee. That evening the sunset was extremely beautiful and he shared it with me. Simply beautiful. I could not wait to paint it. First on Canvas and once sold I tried it on a recycled Window which is now enjoyed in someones home.

Thank you

Thank you!

Now this painting I painted for a very special group of people. For 14 years I worked in Virginia as a Medial Assistant mostly as a Phlebotomist. It was a great job, that I loved and the patients became very dear to me. As I made plans to retire it was my desire to leave something very personal of me behind. A painting  across from the Lab-draw-chair for patients to see as they get their blood drawn. A big thank you to all the wonderful people that I have met during those 14 years. Something that reflect me and that little draw station I was working out of all those years. Little notes, small tokens given to me and of course other artful inspirations from me. Therefor I captured some of these things in this painting as well as my own hand . A once in a lifetime painting still hanging there, as far as I know :-)
